Artemide, one of the world leaders in design lighting, has always been synonymous with design, innovation and Italian quality.
The Artemide Group, ISO 9001:2015 (Quality) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environment) certified, is located in Pregnana Milanese and has a strong international presence. Single-branded showrooms are opening in the world's most important cities, and Artemide products are distributed through a wide network of retailers and dealers, supported by global partnerships with major architecture firms and lighting firms.
Founded in the 1960s, the factory is one of the most famous lighting brands in the world. Renowned for its "Human Light" philosophy, Artemide boasts a high level of achievement in lighting design and innovation, thanks to products derived from research and high-quality manufacturing. The company has filed many invention patents in the development of innovative technological, mechanical and optoelectric solutions (10 patents filed in 2016 alone).
Artemide's contribution to the history of international design is associated with products such as Eclisse (1967, from Vico Magistretti), Tolomeo (1989, from Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina), Pipe (2004, from Herzog & De Meuron) and the IN-EI Collection ( 2014, Issey Miyake), all presented for the first time at the Compasso Doro Awards. Artemide received the Compaso Doro Career Award in 1994, the European Design Award in 1997 and the Leonardo Italian Quality Award in 2012.
Artemide luminaires are internationally regarded as icons of contemporary design; they are represented in most museums, in collections of modern art and design (MoMA - New York, Metropolitan Museum of Art - New York, Victoria and Albert Museum - Londra, National Museum of Science and Art - Milan, National Gallery of Modern Art - Rome, Parisi, Center Georges Pompidou and others). Artemide always collaborates with the most famous international designers and actively promotes workshops with design schools to find the best young talents. In the pursuit of innovation, Artemide collaborates with distinguished Italian and international universities.
